SEVENTEEN to the world, indeed!

In partnership with UNESCO, the Empire State Building in New York City illuminated rose quartz and serenity on October 28 at 1 PM (local time) to celebrate the release of SEVENTEEN’s ‘Spill the Feels.’ The lighting ceremony was broadcast live via the Empire State Building’s YouTube channel.

SEVENTEEN members Joshua, DK, Mingyu, Vernon, and DINO attended the event on behalf of the group. Vernon delivered a short yet meaningful welcome speech in place of his members, followed by the presentation of a gift from the Empire Realty Trust to commemorate this special occasion—a miniature statue of the historic building.

Here’s what Vernon relayed:

"Hi, I’m Vernon of SEVENTEEN. It’s an honor to be here at the Empire State Building today and more so to come with UNESCO as its Goodwill Ambassador for Youth. We hope that our dedication to supporting (the) futures of young people around the globe resonates with individuals through this event. I'm excited to see the Empire State Building light up in SEVENTEEN’s colors—rose quartz and serenity—and I hope everyone, including our beloved CARATs enjoy today’s lighting event. Thank you!"

The group is currently abroad for the U.S. leg of their world tour, ‘SEVENTEEN Right Here.’ Last June, they were named UNESCO’s Goodwill Ambassador for Youth and participated in a Youth Forum in Paris during the same month. In 2022, they initiated the ‘#GoingTogether’ project in partnership with the Korean National Commission for UNESCO, which focused on establishing educational centers and offering educational support.

We are sure that CARATs are happy and proud of what the group has achieved and will continue to achieve because they will be performing at the 2024 MAMA Awards in Japan! Here’s to manifesting an abundance of achievements for our OT13. You can read more information about the award show and SEVENTEEN’s participation here.
