Brace yourselves, STAY bepeus! We’re diving into this new hip era in style!
Stray Kids dropped their highly anticipated hip-tape album HOP alongside the music video for their new title track, Walkin On Water, on December 13, 2024, at 2 PM KST (1 PM Philippine Time).
With heavy hip-hop beats we’d only hear from the genre influencing most of their songs, we have been introduced to an evolved version of Stray Kids as they explore a new style that highlights their growth as musicians. Walkin On Water also showcases the members’ rapping skills, with the rap and producing units leading the song.
The music video pays homage to their South Korean roots, showcasing traditional Hanok houses, while blending them with stylish outfits that reflect their new concept. This almost feels like the sibling of Thunderous’ music video, but with a more mature vibe.
HOP also includes the members’ solo tracks, performed as solo stages at their ongoing dominATE world tour. Tablo of Epik High also appears in their third track, U. The K-hip hop group leader has openly expressed his admiration for Stray Kids, often sharing his love for the group with his daughter.
