JYP Entertainment is one of the big three (3) entertainment companies in South Korea. It is led by one of the well-known producers Jin Young Park. It produced global K-Pop idols such as G.O.D, Rain, Wonder Girls, 2AM, MissA, and GOT7. It is currently home to famous idol groups such as 2PM, DAY6, Twice, Stray Kids, ITZY, NMIXX, and Xdinary Heroes. Aside from Korean groups, JYP expanded its popularity internationally by debuting the global boy group NEXZ and their first global girl group VCHA, NiziU in Japan, BOY STORY and YAOCHEN in China. We can’t deny that JYP Nation is now a big family. If you still haven’t stan any or all JYP Entertainment groups yet, here are some reasons why you should start to become curious about them.
1. The Best of the Best Talents
One thing about JYP is they make sure that they don’t just have talented idols but have a powerful vocalist, rapper, and dancer. We can really say that their mains and subs are some of the best in their generations. When it comes to vocals, DAY6 is one of the finest. You can feel all the emotions from their songs through their singing, that’s why many Koreans and International fans love them. As for Twice, MOMO is branded as one of the best dancers of the 3rd generation. Currently, the girls are continuously releasing their solo songs, proving that they can shine on their own through their exceptional talents. Stray Kids is known as one of the all-rounders of 4th gens, creating a sub-unit specializing in their strengths. They have 3RACHA who are the main rappers and producers of their group. They also have DANCERACHA and VOCALRACHA. ITZY is known as one of the best groups in dancing while NMIXX is popular due to their powerful vocals. Xdinary Heroes is the newest band under the label. Even though they are a band, their two members Jungsu and O.de are good at dancing, breaking the stigma that bands can’t dance. Above all, JYP members participate in producing their songs. As of September 2024, YoungK, Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han are among the top 20th most credited K-Pop idols or those with the most song copyrights registered with the Korean Music Copyright Association (KOMCA).
2. Breathtaking Visuals

When it comes to visuals, we can say that JYP groups don’t have visual holes. Each member is shining on their own beauty. The groups’ main visuals: Wonpil, Tzuyu, Hyunjin, Yuna, Sullyoon, and Jooyeon have that ‘face card never decline’ image. The other members also prove that their beauty is stellar by being ambassadors of high-end, luxury brands. One of them is Stray Kids’ Felix who just made his runway debut with Louis Vuitton. Twice’s Sana also became an ambassador of ‘Graft’ which is a luxury brand that only billionaires can afford. Aside from that, JYP members made some cameos on Korean dramas, like Dream High and ATEEN 2, and on other JYP groups’ Music Videos. Recently, Twice’s Dahyun announced her acting debut with a main role in the film ‘You Are the Apple of My Eye’. Apart from that, Yeji and Chaeryeong are part of the 100 most beautiful faces of 2023 while Hyunjin and Bang Chan are included on the 100 most handsome faces of 2023 based on TC Candler’s survey. Above that, Sana ranked as the 3rd most beautiful face of 2023 whereas Tzuyu placed first as the most beautiful face in 2019.
3. Variety of Songs

When you stan JYP Nation, you will also be open to different kinds of music genres. Each group has its own personality when it comes to music, making the JYP groups unique to one another. DAY6 is a pop band, well known for their ‘blues’ genre which is a sad music style that expresses depression, loneliness, and heartbreak. Twice is well known for their bubblegum pop genre since the start of their career. Their songs are mostly cute, catchy, and upbeat. Stray Kids is known for their noise music which encompasses heavy beats and EDMs. They also created the ‘mala taste’ genre which describes songs that are spicy, strong, and hot. ITZY promotes women empowerment, showcasing a confident and charismatic image with their girl crush concept, while NMIXX created the mixx-pop genre. It is a combination of two or more different music genres wherein you can feel various charms in one song. Unlike DAY6, Xdinary Heroes is another band in JYP entertainment which is marketed for rock music. JYP makes sure that the genres each group promotes are different from one another. This avoids comparison and competition within the fandoms and establishes a support system within the family.
4. Good Attitude

When it comes to attitude, JYP always makes sure that their idols have good personalities. In every survival show JYP created, they always have one segment that evaluates or talks about the trainee’s ‘supposed to be’ attitude once they become an idol. We can see that JYP’s yapping paid off. When it comes to news about JYP idols’ bad image, there are only a few compared to other entertainment companies. One thing I remember the most, JYP once said that idols should be just true to themselves so that they won’t watch their behavior in front of others. He doesn’t want them to be pretentious because eventually, people will see their insincerity. With that advice, we can really see it on how JYP idols interact with others. They are really close with their staff as we can see on their behind-the-scenes and candid videos circulating online. They also have a lot of friends within the entertainment industry. You can also see the sincerity in their eyes when interacting with their fans. Most importantly, you can see the bond, closeness, and family-like figure in each JYP group. For example, even though GOT7 left the company, the group still stuck together and treated each other like real brothers. They even made a comeback with complete members. Another one is Twice which recently celebrated its 9th anniversary. Compared to those who debuted at the same time as them, we can say that they are the strongest group still together as 9.
5. Idol Comedians
(sources: XH; NMIXX; Stray Kids)
One of the reasons why we stan a group is because of how funny they are in variety shows. We love watching them having fun as it became our stress reliever. Surely, JYP idols are one of the comedian idols. As DAY6 and Xdinary Heroes are bands and not K-Pop groups, both didn’t mostly train to dance. However, they love dancing, which is so funny! (no offense to DAY6 and XH). As mentioned earlier, JYP advised their idols to just be true to themselves and you can see it on their variety shows. As they trained at an early age, the groups are very playful and chaotic when put together in one room. They’re so loud and tease each other just like how we tease our own friends. They are also funny when guesting on other shows. The most recent show I watched that I had a good laugh at is NMIXX Haewon’s guesting on Lee Youngji’s show ‘No Prepare’. Haewon indeed matched Youngji’s energy and nuttiness. If you want to know more about JYP groups, just search for their ‘Core Moments’ videos.
6. No Corruption

Recently, JYP Entertainment got their certification for ISO 37001 which is the Anti-Bribery Certification. They are the first in the industry to receive it from the British Standards Institution. It is a standard that prevents and supervises corrupt practices such as bribery, embezzlement, and corruption-related activities within and outside the organization. Even though JYP groups are not the best of the best groups out there, at least, we can proudly say that all their awards and achievements are received through the group’s efforts and not JYP bribing anyone for them to have it. Their achievements and awards are true and organic.
Overall, JYP Nation is a family of idols full of beautiful individuals inside and out. They are one of the strongest families in the industry. They are talented enough and worth stanning. With that, let’s all stan JYP entertainment’s idols and let’s manifest for JYP Nation concert or Game Caterers JYP together (JEBAL!!).
I am a kpop fan since 2013. The first kpop group I stan is EXO. I'm a multi stan but currently, my ult group is Stray Kids. Aside from kpop, I also enjoy watching k-dramas, k-variety shows, and other k-contents. With that, I enjoy writing and sharing contents regarding hallyu. I express my fangirl feels in that way.
