On May 15, JTBC News reported that K-pop girl group aespa is preparing for a comeback with a new album in June 2025.

Nearly seven months after the release of their 5th mini album, Whiplash, aespa is set to return with fresh tracks that are expected to shake up the K-pop charts once again. According to reporter Jeong Ha-eun of JTBC, multiple music industry officials have confirmed that the members are gearing up for their comeback, despite a packed schedule.
It is not yet confirmed whether the release will be a full-length album or another mini album, but expectations are already high.
Aespa, who debuted in 2020 under SM Entertainment, has built a strong reputation with hits like Black Mamba, Next Level, Savage, Girls, Drama, Supernova, and Whiplash. Their signature futuristic AI-inspired concept continues to set them apart in the 4th-gen idol landscape.
This anticipated comeback follows the successful completion of their 29-city world tour, including a final encore in Seoul, which drew in thousands of fans from across the globe.
While the official announcement and teasers have yet to drop, fans took to social media to express their excitement.
