Wake us up when SEVENTEEN’s enlistment era finally ends.
Another day, another enlistment announcement for CARATs. On Wednesday, March 5, Pledis Entertainment officially revealed via Weverse that SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo will begin his mandatory military service on Thursday, April 3.

As a result, Wonwoo will be unable to participate in any of SEVENTEEN’s scheduled activities after his enlistment date, including the Tecate Pa’l Norte 2025 festival, which falls on the same weekend, and the group’s fan meeting in Japan later in April. However, he will still take part in their upcoming 9th SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND fan meeting in South Korea on March 20 and 21. Pledis also confirmed that he is preparing pre-recorded content for CARATs.

Wonwoo will fulfill his service through an alternative military program, as stated in the official announcement. Pledis added, “There will be no official event on the day of his enlistment, and we kindly request that you refrain from visiting the site of his alternative military service. Please send your heartfelt messages of support for WONWOO through Weverse.”
Following the announcement, CARATs took to social media to express their surprise and support. Many initially expected Hoshi to enlist first, given previous reports and the idol’s own remarks about his impending service. Amid the wave of reactions, Wonwoo posted a photo of Big Ben on his film account, accompanied by Stephen Sanchez’s “Until I Found You” as the background music.

We’ll be counting down the days until his return. Wishing all the best for Wonwoo and the rest of the boys—may they serve safely and come back healthy. Where were you when the news broke, bepeus?
