SEVENTEEN Unveils Electrifying Visuals and Concept in ‘Thunder’ MV

K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN recently dropped their 5th full album, Happy Burstday, alongside a music video for “Thunder,” the album’s title track, to commemorate their 10th debut anniversary on Monday, May 26, 2025.

After making history as the first K-pop group to perform at Jamsu Bridge in Seoul and premiering two new songs before their official release on Sunday, May 25, CARATLAND’s favorite boys celebrated two milestones in one day: the group’s birthday and the release of their 5th full album, a sequel to Face the Sun. The album includes three group tracks and 13 solo songs. 

The music video had our jaws on the floor and left us speechless. Not only was it a showcase of stunning visuals—both CGI and the members’ face cards—it was also the party of the century. From Hoshi's scene to the members owning the dance floor and raving inside, I wanted to jump in and celebrate SEVENTEEN’s decade of hard work. The members’ acting skills added even more visual appeal and storytelling to the video. And of course, how can we forget S.Coups’ parts, sporting long hair? ICONIC. We were so immersed, it felt like we were in the club partying with them.

Now, let’s talk about the song. Woozi and BUMZU did not disappoint—not with this track, nor with the rest of the album. It’s catchy, the vibe is on point, and it perfectly fits the celebration concept they were aiming for. I’ve had “Alo, alo, T-H-U-N-D-E-R” stuck in my head since the release of the highlight medley—it’s THAT GOOD.

And finally, the solo tracks. Each one reflects the individual member’s musical style and identity. Our favorites? S.Coups’ “Jungle,” Mingyu’s “Shake It Off,” and Vernon’s “Shooting Star.” But honestly, we love all the solo tracks. I could talk about them for hours, but I’ll stop myself here for now.
