Boys Planet was aired last February 2, 2023, which then formed one of the best K-Pop groups in today's generation, and that is ZEROBASEONE. The group is composed of members Kim Jiwoong, Sung Hanbin, Zhang Hao, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae Rae, Ricky, Kim Gyu Vin, Park Gun Wook, and Han Yu Jin. The actual group that was formed from the survival show has created their own name in the industry because of how well loved they are by the domestic and international market. They are also making an impact in terms of physical album sales from the 5th generation and have been included in the lists of highest-selling groups along with huge names and their seniors, such as SEVENTEEN and BTS. Everyone has surely supported the boys after the show ended; however, if you are one of the pre-debut fans who genuinely tuned in to the show and voted for the trainees, a 'star creator’ as the community called before, you might be wondering about what happened to your other picks who weren't able to make it to the final cut. Today, let me introduce you to some of the groups that were formed after the show ended!

First on the list is EVNNE which debuted in 2023 with ‘Trouble’ as their debut song. The group is composed of very familiar names because of how talented and popular the members are amongst the star creators during the show. The members are Keita, Park Hanbin, Jeonghyeon, Seungeon, Ji Yunseo, Mun Junghyeon, and Jihoo, and they were all participants of Boys Planet. As for me, 4 of them were my picks during Boys Planet, so imagine how happy I was when they announced that they're going to be in a group together. I was geeked!

If your picks are Na Kamden, Brian, and Choi Jiho, then you will surely love AMPERS&ONE. The group debuted in 2023 with their single album called ‘AMPERSAND ONE’ and is continuously thriving in the industry today as they have been nominated in the MAMA Awards as well. Recently, the group has released a new album called ‘ONE QUESTION’ and honestly, I am craving more music from the boys because of how amazing they are in this craft.

Next on the list is TIOT, which is composed of 5 members, with 4 of them coming from Boys Planet, which are Kum Junhyeon, Kim Minseoung, Hong Keonhee, and Choi Woojin. The group actually had a pre-debut mini album last year with ‘Frame The Blueprint: Prelude to Possibilities’ and has been promoting since then, but just this year they added a new member named Shin Yechan and officially made their debut as a five-member group with a mini album called ‘Kick-START’. Personally, Junhyeon was one of my favorite participants during the show, and it was devastating that he wasn't able to make it to the final cut, but hearing the news of his debut made me so happy. I hope more star creators get to know these boys and give them some love and support that they deserve.

Fourth on the list would be ONE PACT which is composed of members who participated in Boys Planet, namely Jongwoo, Jay Chang, Seongmin, Yedam, and TAG. Although TAG did not fully participate on the show because he left before it was aired, I still think that he could be considered as someone who came from that show. The group debuted last year with ‘Must Be Nice’ as their debut song. Since then, the boys have been making waves in Japan because of how immensely talented they are.

The fifth one is TOZ, which is made up of Haruto, Anthonny, Yuto, and Takuto and were also participants of Boys Planet. The group officially debuted in 2023 with the album called ‘FLARE’ and has also made their Korean debut with ‘TO my new friends’ recently this year. My personal favorite from their newest album is ‘Hello to my world’ as it gives off a perfect youthful and fresh morning vibe. Hopefully the world gets to hear more from them, as they also deserve more support for their music, and honestly, just for the boys, because their talents deserve to be shown to the world.

Aside from groups, some of the boys became soloists and actors, too. While some have returned to their original groups and are waiting to debut as well. I may not be able to list all of them, but I will surely try my best to add all of my picks in here. For soloists, we got Wang Zihao who debuted under a stage name of LE’V and Lee Seunghwan as ONLEE who both debuted last year. For Hui and Seowon, they both went back to their respective groups, Pentagon and NINE.i. As for Jung Mingyu and Park Doha, they were the ones who made a career as actors. Mingyu got signed into Fantagio while Doha was able to get an acting gig this year for the drama entitled ‘Queen Woo’. Lastly, aside from these people mentioned above, I am also rooting for Dang Hong Hai who is now a pre-debut member for a group called ‘NEWKIES’ along with another trainee.

The show may have ended a year ago, but honestly, I am still rooting for these boys to become one of the biggest stars in the industry, and hopefully they will be able to share the same stage together just like when they were still participants for Boys Planet. If you're able to reach the very end of this article, I hope you will give these boys a chance by listening to their music and maybe following their socials, too, because who knows if they might be your next K-Pop ult and favorite actors?

I have been a K-pop fan since 2013. The first group who introduced me to K-pop and fangirling was EXO. My current ult is SEVENTEEN and Joshua is my bias. I've been a CARAT since 2020, and I would say that it was and is still the best decision I have ever made. I have so much opinion towards things, and because of that, I discovered that writing those thoughts might be the best way to express myself. To be able to write articles about the things that I love is one of the best crossovers of my life.
